Whole Wheat Vada Pav Recipe

Take a large mixing bowl and one by one add water, preferably lukewarm, then sugar and yeast. Allow the mixture to rest for some time.
Now after some time add the India Gate Whole Wheat flour to the yeast solution. Then add salt according to taste and finally the oil. Mix the whole mixture and keep kneading until you get a soft but tight dough.
After completion of the last step, take the dough into another bowl and make sure to have greased the walls of the bowl with butter, preferably salted. Allow the dough to rest and cover the surface with plastic wrap. Wait until the dough doubles in size.
Once the dough doubles in size, punch the latter and release the air. After this divide the dough into 6 to 8 small-sized balls.
Flatten or roll the small balls into flat discs. Now, stuff the flattened balls with the separately prepared peanut chutney and aloo stuffings, and then seal all the sides.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and keep the prepared Whole wheat vada pav on the tray. Allow it to rest for another 15 to 20 minutes.
In the meantime, preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Finally, bake the vada pav for approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Be cautious, not to overbake it.
After the completion of the last step, take the tray out, brush the surface with the salted butter and let it cool a bit for some time.
