Whole Wheat Strawberry Cake
4 to 5 People
Wash the strawberries properly and remove the green top portion. Then cut the strawberries into medium-sized pieces.
Step 2.
Take a few of the pieces and make a paste of the latter with the help of a mixer or a hand juicer, Strain that paste and keep it aside.
Step 3.
Take the other dry ingredients one by one in a big mixing bowl and sieve them properly. Then use a strainer and strain the dry ingredients mixture to make sure that no unwanted substance is there in the mixture.
Step 4.
Now, this step requires extra caution as you need to add the wet ingredients into the mixture and if not done properly it will make the mixture a thick solution that won’t grow fluffy when baked.
So add refined oil, honey, curd, and finally milk into the mixture and whisk it properly. [Tip: Tilt the bowl a bit and whisk it. This will help you get a nice texture].
Step 5.
Add the strawberry paste which you made in the beginning to the paste you made slowly while you are whisking it. This will help you give your cake a natural strawberry essence and flavor.
Step 6.
Now add the rest of the strawberry pieces into the batter of the cake.
Step 7.
Preheat the oven.
Step 8.
Take a baking tray or the tray with whichever shape you want and line it with parchment paper, if required you can brush the wall with butter or even refined oil.
Step 9.
Bake the batter in the oven for approximately 10 minutes or until you see the cake rise (a tip only for experts). After the assigned time, take the cake out of the oven, and test whether it has baked properly or not insert a toothpick to check the softness.
Step 10.
Once the checking is done, allow the cake to cool completely, but do not use the refrigerator to cool it. Keep it at room temperature. Once it is cool, cut and serve the delicious whole wheat strawberry cake with your evening tea.
