Whole Wheat Dosa


  • ½ to 1 cup of India Gate whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup of rice flour or rice dust
  • 2 tablespoons of either India Gate Rava / India Gate Semolina / India Gate Sooji
  • 1 tablespoon of curd 
  • 1½ cup of water 
  • ½ finely chopped onion 
  • 1-inch ginger finely chopped
  • 1 finely chopped green chili 
  • 2 tablespoons of coriander 
  • 2 tablespoons of curry leaves 
  • 1 tablespoon of cumin / jeera
  • 1 tablespoon of salt (based on your preference)
  • oil for roasting


Step 1.

Take a large mixing bowl and one by one add the India Gate Whole Wheat Flour, the rice flour, then either India Gate Rava / India Gate Semolina / India Gate Sooji and finally one tablespoon of curd.

Step 2. 

Add water to the mixture and whisk it well. Make sure that there are no lumps left in the mixture.

Step 3.

Then in the mixture, one by one keep adding onion, ginger, green chili, coriander, curry leaves, cumin, and salt.

Step 4.

Allow the mixture to sit for approximately 20 minutes.

Step 5.

If you see that the mixture is not consistent then add a bit of water and mix it again.

Step 6.

Preheat the oven to a medium flame and then spread the mixture on it. Then sprinkle some oil on it when it is half cooked.

Step 7.

Keep it in low flame and allow it to take a crisp texture with golden brown color. And once it is fully cooked enjoy it with coconut chutney and sambar.
