  • 1 Cup India Gate maida
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1/2 cup water

  1. To make a soft dough, combine maida, salt, ghee, and water in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add water gradually as needed to knead the flour.
  3. To roll out the dough, divide it into equal little sections and spread it out into balls.
  4. To avoid sticking, dip each ball in water or oil from one side before rolling.
  5. Roll each ball into an equal-sized circle.
  6. In a pan or kadhai, heat the oil over high heat.
  7. When the oil is heated enough to cook the Luchi, slide it into the heated oil.
  8. Luchi will start to swell. Cook on both sides, taking care not to burn it.
  9. To remove the extra oil, drain it on paper towels.
  10. Serve the hot Luchi right away with aloo ki sabzi or your favourite curry.
