  • 6 servings
  • 1 1/2 cups India Gate Dalia 
  • 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Green chili (chopped)
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 cup Coriander leaf (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Rice flour
  • 1/2 cup+1/2 cup Cornflour
  • 1 tbsp Kasoori methi
  • 1 tbsp Amchur powder
  • 1 tsp Jeera powder
  • 1/2 cup Oats for coating
  • 1 tsp Paprika powder
  • As needed Oil for frying


  • In a mixing dish, combine the leftover Dalia upma, onion, and chilies, then add the remaining ingredients one by one to form a dough.
  • Make balls in the shape of lemons. Combine cornflower, paprika mix, and 1/2 cup water in a batter.
  • Take a second plate and spread the oats on it.
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan. Then take Dalia upma balls and dip them in cornflour water before rolling them in the oats on the dish.
  • Then, on a low temperature, cook the balls until golden brown.
