India Gate Dalia – 1 cup(Wash and soaked for 10 minutes)
Curd-1 cup
Whole red chili-2-3
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Urad dal-1 tsp
Cumin seed – 1 tsp
Whole black paper – 1 tsp
Cashew nut- 6 to 8
Green chili- 1 finely chopped
Coriander leaves-2 tsp for garnishing
Curry leaf- 7 to 8
Cooking oil – 2 tbsp
Directions
Step 1 – Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet and add cumin seed until it crackles. Add black paper dalia/broken wheat and roast for 2-3 minutes. Add 2 cup water, salt, and mix well. Cook for 8-10 minutes on low medium heat until dalia has absorbed all of the water and is soft. Remove from heat and stir in the curd.
Step 2- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When the seeds crackle, add the urad dal and cook till golden brown. Add the entire red chilli, curry leaves, and cashew nuts and cook for 30 seconds. Pour this tempering over the cooked dalia. Enjoy this nutritious, delectable Curd dalia with coriander leaves as a garnish.
